UI and UX design: flows tested with real users before a line of code is written

We run user research, design wireframes and clickable prototypes, test them with real people and hand over a design system. Design is available on its own or as the first phase of any build, typically three to six weeks.

Who it’s for, and who it isn’t

A good fit
  • Teams planning a new product, or fixing one users find hard to use.
  • Support answers the same “how do I” questions
  • Users abandon a form or checkout halfway
Probably not for you
  • Teams that only need a logo or brand refresh (see branding)
  • Visual polish on a product whose flows are already proven

What changes

✕BeforeA product people find confusing, and support tickets to prove it.
✓AfterFlows tested with real users before a line of code is written.
For the people using it
  • Screens that do what they expect
  • Fewer steps to get things done
For your business
  • Fewer support tickets and drop-offs
  • Problems fixed on paper, not in code
The guide

UI and UX design that people find easy

Good design is mostly invisible: people find what they came for, finish the task and leave without thinking about the interface. When they can’t, you see it in support tickets, abandoned forms and low adoption.

We start with research: interviews, analytics and a review of what users struggle with today. Then we wireframe, prototype and test with real people before any code is written, and hand over a design system so the product stays consistent as it grows.

Signs you need this

  • Support answers the same “how do I” questions
  • Users abandon a form or checkout halfway
  • Parts of the product look like different products
  • New features take longer to design than to build

Risks we remove

What usually goes wrong with ui/ux design projects, and what we do about it.

01

Designing on assumptions

Every key flow is tested with five representative users per round.

02

Designs developers cannot build

Developer-ready files and components that map to code.

03

Accessibility found late

Contrast, focus states, labels and target sizes checked against WCAG 2.2 AA in design.

Worked example

A typical design sprint

A software company sees half of new users abandon onboarding. Week one is research: analytics, support tickets and five user interviews. Week two produces wireframes of a shorter flow.

In weeks three and four a clickable prototype is tested with five new users, fixed and tested again. The final designs and components are handed to the development team with notes for each state.

UI/UX Design: questions, answered

Do you design without building?
Yes. Design is available on its own, with developer-ready Figma files and a design system for your team or another agency.
How many users do you test with?
Usually five per round. Research from the Nielsen Norman Group shows five users uncover most usability problems in a design.
Do you design for accessibility?
Every design is checked against WCAG 2.2 AA for contrast, focus states, labels and target sizes.
How does pricing work?
After a free scoping call you get a written proposal setting out the scope, the cost and a planned timeline, so you know what you are agreeing to before work starts.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. Code, designs, content and accounts are yours from day one, in accounts you control.
