Conversion teardown: find what stops visitors enquiring, booking or buying

Enter a page and pick what it should get you. We check the headline, calls to action, forms, proof, speed signals and mobile set-up, score five areas and rank the fixes by impact and effort.

What should this page get you?

What we look at

Clarity: whether there is one clear headline that says what you offer, a sensible page title and a navigation that does not overwhelm. Friction: whether the action you want is obvious, early and labelled with what happens next, and whether forms ask for too much.

Trust: visible proof, a way to reach a person, a privacy notice and HTTPS. Speed: third-party scripts, render-blocking code and images without dimensions. Mobile: the viewport set-up, zoom and tap-to-call.

Limits of an automated teardown

The check reads the HTML your server sends. Content added later by JavaScript is invisible to it, and it cannot know how your real visitors behave. Treat the result as a list of likely problems to confirm, ideally with five real users and your analytics.

Methodology

  • One request to the page you enter; checks run on its HTML.
  • Each area starts at 100 and loses points for each problem found, weighted by typical impact.
  • Calls to action are matched against wording for the goal you choose.
  • Proof is detected from common words such as reviews, testimonials and case studies; it does not check that proof is genuine.
  • Results are cached for 24 hours. We keep no copy of your page.

Conversion teardown: questions, answered

My page scores well but still does not convert. Why?
The offer, price and audience matter more than any checklist. A usability test with five people, or your analytics, usually shows what an automated check cannot.
Which page should I test?
The page most paid or search traffic lands on, usually your home page or a key service page.
Can you redesign the page?
Yes. Send the result and we reply with what we would change first and a price range.
